Fans in Cincinnati threw trash at Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on Saturday night as he was carted to the locker room following a shoulder injury.

Roethlisberger left the game in the third quarter after being sacked by Vontaze Burfict. The Steelers classified it as a right shoulder injury and his return was questionable.

As Roethlisberger rode off, garbage and debris showered down from the stands, hitting the cart as he headed for the locker room. The Steelers led 15–0 at the time of his injury.

After the Bengals scored on the ensuing drive to make it 15–7, the Steelers announced that Roethlisberger would attempt to re-enter the game.
