Giants defensive tackle Jay Bromley is under investigation after an alleged rape attempt early Saturday, according to multiple reports.

The New York Post and New York Daily News both reported Saturday that Bromley has been accused of attempting to rape a woman at the Hyatt Herald Square Hotel in Midtown.

Bromley, 23, and a 26-year-old woman met at the hotel, where he reportedly attempted to rape her in a room they booked.

According to the reports, the two eventually parted ways, after which Bromley allegedly hit the woman with his car after refusing to drive her home. She reportedly jumped on top of the car to prevent him from leaving and fell off the hood as he drove off.

Officials told the Post and Daily News that the investigation is preliminary and no charges have been filed.

“We are aware of the situation and will continue to monitor it,” the Giants said in a statement. “We have notified the league office per the league's protocol. We will have no further comment as we understand this is an ongoing investigation.”

The Giants drafted Bromley out of Syracuse in 2014. He was a second round selection and made 36 tackles this season.
