Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall joined First Take on Wednesday morning and gave quarterbacks Ryan Fitzpatrick and Geno Smith votes of confidence in light of Tuesday’s report that Colin Kaepernick would like to play in New York.

“I don’t want Kaepernick,” Marshall said of the 49ers quarterback. “I think he’s good. My guy’s [Fitzpatrick]. It’s nothing against Kaepernick.”

He was then probed about backup Smith, who was competing for the starting job before last season began.

“Geno’s still my guy,” he said.

Kaepernick still has five more years left on a $114 million contract he signed in 2014. According to the aforementioned report, the Jets are aware of Kaepernick’s interest, but the team is still evaluating their choices for the off-season.
