Panthers defensive end Kony Ealy forced a critical fumble in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl 50.

Denver took over at its own 32-yard line following a sack of Cam Newton and ensuing Carolina punt. C.J. Anderson was stuffed going right for no gain on the first play of the drive, concluding the third quarter with the Broncos still up 16–7.

An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Tre Boston following a 16-yard catch by Emmanuel Sanders moved the Broncos to the Carolina 37-yard line, but Peyton Manning was sacked on the next play. Ealy’s sack two plays later, recovered by Charles Johnson, set the Panthers up at the 50-yard line down 16–7 in the fourth.

Ealy now has two sacks and an interception to go with his forced fumble, making him the first player in Super Bowl history with such a stat line.
