The Carolina Panthers and head coach Ron Rivera ran out of challenges in the second quarter of Sunday’s game.

Midway through the first quarter, Jerricho Cotchery tried making a bobbling catch but it was ruled incomplete.Rivera challenged it, and despite CBS analyst and former referee Mike Carey believing the call should be overturned, the officials upheld the ruling on the field.

In the second quarter, Rivera won a challenge, where he believed Peyton Manning was down by contact before he threw an incomplete pass. Even though Rivera got it right, the Broncos only lost seven yards in the process, and the Panthers now have no challenges remaining.
