Los Angeles Rams sign former Northwestern QB Kain Colter
The Los Angeles Rams have signed former Northwestern quarterback Kain Colter.
The Los Angeles Rams have signed wide receiver Kain Colter, the team’s first free-agent signing since leaving St. Louis.
Colter was out of the NFL last season. He spent all of 2014 on the Minnesota Vikings practice squad.
Colter played mostly quarterback in college for Northwestern. He also spent some time at receiver, catching 63 passes for 683 yards in four seasons.
Colter is perhaps best known for being the leader of a unionization movement at Northwestern, attempting to make the football team the first players’ union in college sports. The bid failed at the federal level last August.
The Rams officially moved back to Los Angeles in January.
