During the on-field celebration after the game, John Elway raised the Lombardi Trophy and said, “This one is for Pat!” It was a tribute after Bowlen raised the trophy after the Super Bowl XXXII victory and dedicated the award to Elway.
Bowlen is the first NFL owner to obtain 300 career victories by his 30th season.
