Denver Broncos guard Evan Mathis believes that it is more likely than not that quarterback Peyton Manning will retire this offseason, he said during an appearance on SiriusXM Radio on Sunday.

Mathis, who just finished his first season with the Broncos after leaving the Philadelphia Eagles last offseason, said that he feels it is 60/40 that Manning decides to walk away.

"Gut feeling is 60/40 that he will, but just a gut feeling," he said.

Manning, 39, capped off his 18th NFL season with his second Super Bowl title. But the 2015 season was statistically the worst of his career, as Manning threw for 2,249 yards, nine touchdowns and 17 interceptions in nine regular season starts.

He also dealt with a torn plantar fascia in his foot that kept him out for a large chunk of the regular season.
