The Chicago Bears are expected to retain wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Jeffery, whose contract expired at the end of the season, was placed on injured reserve in December with a hamstring injury. He finished the 2015 campaign with 54 catches for 807 yards and four touchdowns after missing seven games.
In four seasons in Chicago, Jeffery has 3,728 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns.
A 2013 Pro Bowl selection, Jeffery was a second round selection by the Bears in the 2012 draft out of South Carolina.
While at South Carolina, Jeffery was a second team All-SEC selection.
He was also the MVP of the 2012 Capital One Bowl.
