Report: Rams, Jeff Fisher discussing contract extension
The Los Angeles Rams are discussing contract extensions with coach Jeff Fisher and his staff, according to ESPN’s Nick Wagoner.
Fisher is entering the final year of a five-year, $35 million deal that he signed in 2012. The Rams have gone 27-36-1 since he arrived and are coming off a 7–9 campaign that saw them finish third in the NFC West.
A native of California, Fisher coached the Houston Oilers through their relocation to Tennessee in 1997, and will again lead a team through a move with the Rams leaving St. Louis for Los Angeles.
The Rams are expected to start the 2019 season in their new stadium in Inglewood. They will play at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum this year.
