Free agent defensive end Mario Williams is visiting with the Miami Dolphins on Saturday, reports NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

Williams, released by the Buffalo Bills last week, could potentially stay within the AFC East and provide help on the edge for the Dolphins. The 31-year-old pass-rusher had a difficult time adjusting under Rex Ryan last season and finished with five sacks after recording 38 in his first three years in Buffalo.

Williams could join Ndamukong Suh on an imposing Dolphins defensive line. The Miami Heraldreports Miami could fit Williams under the cap by rescinding the transition tag they placed on Olivier Vernon earlier in the week.

The Dolphins finished 6–10 last season, fourth in their division. The team hired new head coach Adam Gase to replace Dan Campbell, who took over for Joe Philbin four games into the season.
