Former Falcons defensive tackle Paul Soliai will sign with the Panthers.

Former Falcons defensive tackle Paul Soliai will sign with the Panthers, his agent confirmed on Monday.

The contract is worth up to $7 million over two years and includes $3 million guaranteed, according to multiple reportsSoliai is expected to sign on Tuesday.

Soliai, 32, began his career with the Dolphins and played the last two seasons in Atlanta. He played 29 games for the Falcons, recording 37 solo tackles and one sack. 

Soliai was released by the Falcons last week, reportedly after refusing to take a pay cut. 

Defensive tackle B.J. Raji will take hiatus from football

Both of Carolina’s starting defensive tackles from last season, Star Lotulelei and Kawann Short, are still with the team but reserve Dwan Edwards was released and Kyle Love is a free agent.
