Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank says he’s cancer free

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank announced the he is cancer free at the 2016 Georgia Technology Summit on Thursday.

The news comes just over a month after Blank disclosed his initial diagnosis of prostate cancer.

Blank opted to have surgery as part of his treatment to battle what he called a “treatable form” of the cancer.

Blank, 73, has owned the Falcons since 2002. He also owns Atlanta United FC, a Major League Soccer expansion franchise that will debut in 2017.

Blank and the Falcons are also in the process of building a new stadium for the team in downtown Atlanta.
