Bears agree to 1-year deals with S Bolden, OL Larsen

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) The Chicago Bears agreed to one-year contracts with former Denver Broncos safety and special-teams contributor Omar Bolden as well as former Tampa Bay and Arizona offensive lineman Ted Larsen on Thursday.

Bolden played for Bears coach John Fox in Denver and spent the past four seasons with the Broncos. He played in just nine regular-season games last year and suffered a season-ending right knee injury in the divisional playoffs against Pittsburgh after missing the final four regular-season games because of a hamstring injury.

Bolden played in 56 games with one start over four seasons in Denver and had 27 special-teams stops to go with 24 defensive tackles. Bolden also had 44 kickoff returns for 1,085 yards and five punt returns for 123 yards and a touchdown.

The Bears brought in Larsen one day after they agreed to a one-year deal with former Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos lineman Manny Ramirez, adding depth. The 6-foot-2, 305-pound Larsen has appeared in 86 games with 57 starts over six seasons with Tampa Bay (2010-13) and Arizona (2014-15). He has made 34 regular-season starts at left guard, 13 at right guard and 10 at center.
