NEW YORK (AP) The NFL's 2016 regular-season schedule will be released Thursday night.

The league will announce the schedule on a television show beginning at 8 p.m.

As usual, the Super Bowl champions will open the season in prime time on a Thursday night. Denver will host that game on Sept. 8.

Previously the NFL announced four games being played abroad. Jacksonville will host Indianapolis in London on Oct. 2, at Wembley Stadium. On Oct. 23, the first NFL game at Twickenham Stadium will have the Los Angeles Rams hosting the Giants. And the following Sunday, Cincinnati will host Washington at Wembley.

The NFL returns to Mexico City for the first time in 11 years when Oakland hosts Houston on Nov. 21. The previous game at Azteca Stadium, on Oct. 2, 2005, drew a crowd of 103,467 when Arizona beat San Francisco 31-14.
