The Chicago Bears have exercised their fifth-year option on offensive lineman Kyle Long, the team announced Friday.

Long, who has played both the guard and tackle positions in his NFL career, is now set to remain in Chicago through the 2017 season.

A first-round pick by the Bears in 2013 out of Oregon, Long is a three-time Pro Bowl selection, twice at right guard and once at right tackle. He was named a second-team All-Pro in 2014.

The Bears finished the 2015 season in last place in the NFC North with a 6–10 record.
