The Houston Texans have picked up their option on wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, according to John McClain of The Houston Chronicle.
Hopkins will remain with the team under contract through the 2017 season, when he is expected to earn nearly $8 million.
He finished last season with 111 receptions, 1,521 yards and 11 touchdowns despite the constant shuffling at quarterback. The Texans finished the season with a 9–7 record before losing 30–0 in the wild-card game to the Kansas City Chiefs.
He will head into his fourth season in the NFL with 239 career catches for 3,533 yards and 19 touchdowns.
