The New York Jets have passed on an opportunity to sign New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.’s cousin, reports ESPN’s Rich Cimini.

Terron Beckham, a running back, had a rookie minicamp tryout last weekend. The younger Beckham hadn’t played football since high school, but was granted the workout based on some impressive numbers from a mini-pro day in New Jersey.

“I see myself as kind of that Chris Ivory-type of back, how he runs,” Beckham said.

At the pro day, Beckham ran the 40 in less than 4.5 seconds, while also reaching 44 inches on the vertical and recording 36 reps on the 225-pound bench press.
