Free agent defensive end Jason Jones will sign with the Miami Dolphins, according to ESPN. 

Jones, 29, started 15 games for the Detroit Lions last season, recording 27 tackles and 4.5 sacks. 

Since being drafted in the second round of the 2008 draft by the Tennessee Titans out of Eastern Michigan, Jones has racked up 175 tackles, 28 sacks and 10 forced fumbles. 

He joins a Dolphins defense that finished 25th in total yards and 19th in points per game last season.

“I’m excited to go down [to Miami] to continue my career. Our whole D-line is about to be trill,” Jones said to ESPN.
