Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey is expected to be ready when the team opens the regular season against the Green Bay Packers, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Ramsey will meet with Dr. James Andrews this week and will likely require surgery to repair a small tear in his meniscus.

The rookie out of Florida State was taken with the No. 5 pick in the 2016 draft. He suffered the knee injury while participating in on-field wrkouts.

Ramsey is expected to start at cornerback, playing alongside Davon House and Prince Amukamara.
