Free agent running back Arian Foster says he needs another month to recover from his Achilles injury before he is in full form, he told KTRK in Houston.

“I probably need another month to get where I am the person everyone is used to seeing,” said Foster, who was cut by the Houston Texans in March. “I can definitely play but I need another month to be where I want to be and be at that Pro Bowl level I can be at.”

Foster, 29, ruptured his Achilles tendon during a Texans loss to the Miami Dolphins in October. He sat out the remainder of the 2015 season after appearing in just four games.

Foster met with the Dolphins in March after being released by Houston, but did not sign a contract.

Over seven seasons with the Texans, Foster was selected to four Pro Bowls and rushed for 6,472 yards with 54 touchdowns.
