Minicamps are in progress across the NFL, and the biggest league news from Wednesday was the Baltimore Ravens’ decision to release left tackle Eugene Monroe

• The New York Giants are already pursuing Monroe and have been in contact with him since his release, reports the New York Daily News’ Ralph Vacchiano.

• Jacksonville Jaguars rookie defensive back Jalen Ramsey told the team’s website that he expects to be ready for the start of training camp. He underwent surgery on his torn meniscus two weeks ago.

• New York Jets defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson told the New York Post that the team doesn’t want him after two years of failed long-term extension negotiations.

• Chicago Bears wide receiver Marquess Wilson will undergo surgery Monday to fix his fractured left foot, reports the Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs.

• Former New England Patriot and current Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Brandon LaFell told the team’s website that he thinks quarterback Andy Dalton is very similar to Tom Brady.

• Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy hinted that the team may attempt a two-point conversion “every single time” following a touchdown, reports ESPN’s Jason Wilde.
