JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Jacksonville Jaguars rookie cornerback Jalen Ramsey practiced Thursday for the first time since tearing cartilage in his right knee.

The fifth overall pick in the NFL draft, Ramsey worked mostly with the first-team defense on the opening day of training camp and showed no issues with his knee. He played in the slot and on the outside, and coach Gus Bradley says he ''really jumped in there and, boy, it seemed like a lot of the techniques came natural to him. I kept a close eye on him and that was impressive.''

The Florida State standout injured his knee during conditioning drills in May and had surgery. He started running a little more than two weeks later and vowed to be ready for camp.
