Davis leaves camp, Jets get King off waivers from Falcons

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) The New York Jets announced Saturday that wide receiver Titus Davis left training camp with the team, and they claimed wide receiver Chris King off waivers from the Atlanta Falcons.

Coach Todd Bowles said after practice that he was told Davis was finished with football.

''I didn't see him when he left,'' Bowles said. ''I was told he retired and didn't want to play anymore.''

Davis' agent did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.

Davis had two stints on the Jets' practice squad last season as a rookie. The former Central Michigan star has also spent time with San Diego and Buffalo.

King was signed by Arizona in May as an undrafted free agent out of Duquesne, but was cut by the Cardinals in June. He signed with Atlanta last week and was waived Friday.
