Report: Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell has suspension reduced to three games

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell had his suspension reduced from four games to three games following a settlement between the NFL and the NFLPA, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

As part of the settlement, Bell will have to remain in his current stage of the league’s substance abuse program, reports Mike Garafolo.

Bell was originally suspended for four games for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy after reportedly missing multiple drug tests.

Bell was also suspended for the start of last season, missing two games.

The running back will now miss the first three games of the upcoming season against the Washington Redskins, Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles. He will return for Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
