Ravens get back Dumervil and Perriman, but Pitta still sits
OWNIGS MILLS, Md. (AP) Ravens linebacker Elvis Dumervil and receiver Breshad Perriman practiced Monday for the first time this summer.
Both players were on the physically unable to perform list. Dumervil is coming off foot surgery and Perriman has been hampered by a knee injury.
Dumervil participated in a full practice Monday morning, and Perriman joined a non-contact session in the afternoon.
But tight end Dennis Pitta remains sidelined with a broken finger, the result of a scuffle with a teammate during practice last month.
Perriman injured his left knee in mid-June. The team's top draft pick missed all last season with torn right knee ligament.
Dumervil and Perriman hope to be ready for the Sept. 11 regular season opener against Buffalo.
Dumervil said, ''The goal is the opener, for sure. If I could try and get a preseason game in, that would be awesome.''
