The Los Angeles Rams and wide receiver Tavon Austin have agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension, the team announced Saturday.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the deal is worth worth $42 million, with $30 million guaranteed.

Austin, 25, is coming off a career year in 2015 which saw him catch 52 passes for 473 yards and five touchdowns, and add 434 yards and four scores on the ground.

"Tavon has been an integral part of our offense and special teams since we drafted him in 2013," coach Jeff Fisher said in a statement. "It is important to our organization to retain players we've drafted and invested in, and Tavon is an example of that. We're excited for him to continue his career with the Rams."

The speedster was set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2018 before agreeing to the extension.
