Ravens tight end Benjamin Watson tore his Achilles during a preseason game on Saturday night and will miss the entire season, the team announced.

Watson was running a route during Baltimore's opening drive when he fell to the ground with a non-contact injury. The announcement from the team came shortly after.

The 35-year-old was coming off a career year in 2015 with the Saints which saw him grab 74 passes for 825 yards and six touchdowns. Given his age, Watson's career is in jeopardy of coming to an end after 12 seasons.

Crockett Gillmore and second-year player Maxx Williams will be relied upon more heavily in wake of the injury.
