Howie Roseman, after a year in Chip Kelly-directed exile, is the steward of one of the league’s most intriguing teams. The Eagles are the NFL’s highest spending team by a wide margin. Roseman extended many homegrown talents—including rising stars Zach Ertz and Fletcher Cox—and spent liberally in free agency. He may have provided the most value in trade negotiations, recently leveraging the Vikings’ desperation over Teddy Bridgewater’s injury into getting a first-round pick in exchange for Sam Bradford. Bradford, though paid well, had just been a placeholder for Carson Wentz, who was the future but quickly became the now for this team.
