Jets' Revis has hamstring strain, uncertain for Steelers

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis has a mild hamstring strain and his status for the team's game at Pittsburgh next Sunday is uncertain.

Revis was injured during the Jets' 27-17 loss to Seattle on Sunday, missing most of the fourth quarter.

His left leg was wrapped when he walked, with a slight limp, into the locker room on Monday. He declined to speak with reporters.

Coach Todd Bowles said Revis had an MRI, which revealed the injury. He added that Revis is ''a little sore,'' but also felt ''a little better'' on Monday. The coach also said that it's too early to determine the cornerback's availability.

''He hasn't run,'' Bowles said, ''so we'll see on Wednesday.''

The Jets could be without Revis to help defend Steelers star wide receiver Antonio Brown, who's among the NFL leaders with 28 catches for 369 yards and four touchdowns.

Buster Skrine, Marcus Williams, rookie Juston Burris and Darryl Roberts, who has been inactive for all four games, are the Jets' other cornerbacks. Bryson Keeton is on the practice squad and could be promoted.

Right guard Brian Winters has a concussion and is in the league's protocol for head injuries. His availability is also uncertain.

It appeared Winters was hurt when he head-butted the Seahawks' Michael Bennett during a play. Winters left the game after that incident, which resulted in an unnecessary roughness penalty. Bowles said he wasn't sure which play resulted in the concussion.

Wide receiver Eric Decker missed the game with a partially torn rotator cuff, and Bowles said ''it's too early to tell'' if he'll be able to play - or need to go on injured reserve and be sidelined for at least eight weeks.
