Panthers minus Thompson, Oher as they head West to face Rams

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) The Panthers will be without outside linebacker Shaq Thompson, left tackle Michael Oher and defensive tackle Vernon Butler for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams, while center Ryan Kalil's status remains unclear.

Kalil injured his shoulder last Sunday against Arizona and has not practiced this week. He worked on the blocking sleds on Friday, giving Panthers coach Ron Rivera hope that the two-time All-Pro may be available this week. Kalil is listed as questionable on the injury report.

Linebacker Luke Kuechly, defensive end Mario Addison and cornerback Worley are also questionable, but Rivera anticipates all three will play.

A.J. Klein will fill in for Thompson (knee) while Mike Remmers will continue to start at left tackle for Oher, who'll miss his fifth straight game with a concussion.
