Rookie Curtis Samuel Got Dropped Off at Panthers Camp by his Mom

Just like the first day of school.

Curtis Samuel is only 20 years old, so his mom dropped him off at work. That wouldn’t be weird, except Curtis Samuel was a second-round pick by the Panthers this year and work was training camp.  

When Samuel reported to Panthers camp Tuesday morning at Wofford College, he hopped out of his mom’s car like it was his first day of school. She also stuck around and watched him walk away. I think that’s her in the white shirt in the background of this video. 

It was cute that his mom got to see him off for his first day as an NFL player but there was a practical reason, too. Samuel said later that his mom needed the car and was going to drive it back home. Maybe after that first game check clears he can get his own car.
