The Cowboys (3-1) were the talk of the league through the first three weeks as their offense rolled up 1,444 yards and 97 points, storming past the Giants, Miami, and Washington. Prescott and the offense, though, were given a cold slap of reality by the Saints in a 12-10 road defeat last Sunday night.

With the exception of an 84-yard touchdown drive on their first possession of the second half, the Cowboys struggled to move the ball all game and finished with just 257 yards. Running back Ezekiel Elliott was well-contained by the Saints defense, getting just 35 yards on 18 carries, with his longest run only six yards.

Prescott was responsible for two of Dallas’ three turnovers, a first-half fumble that resulted in a field goal, and a fourth quarter interception that sealed the loss. He failed to get the Cowboys across midfield on three potential game-winning possessions in the final quarter and was 22 of 33 for 233 yards.

Amari Cooper will draw plenty of attention as Prescott’s favorite target, entering this game with team highs of 21 catches, 286 yards, and four touchdowns.

Dallas’ defense has not given up a touchdown in the last two games and not yielded 300 yards in the last three contests. The run defense, though, struggled to contain Alvin Kamara last Sunday–the 117 yards given up nearly equaled the total of the previous two games combined (119).

Green Bay (3-1), on the other hand, put together its best offensive effort of the season with 491 yards, but the plays it failed to make in the red zone in the fourth quarter loomed large in a 34-27 loss at home to Philadelphia on Sept. 26.

Rodgers threw for 422 yards and a pair of touchdowns, but Green Bay’s two drives in the final period that progressed inside the Eagles’ 5-yard line failed to produce any points.  Rodgers had a fourth down pass fall incomplete on one and a potential game-tying touchdown pass intended for Marquez Valdes-Scantling with 28 seconds to play intercepted at the goal line.

Rodgers has tormented Dallas over his career, throwing for 2,373 yards and 16 touchdowns in nine matchups. He has emerged victorious in his last two visits to Dallas and threw for 221 yards and three scores in a 35-31 Packers triumph in 2017.
