Mahomes leads the NFL with 1,831 passing yards and is tied for second with Watson and five other quarterbacks with 11 touchdown passes, but the Chiefs (4-1) have been knocked out of their offensive rhythm the last two games. While they were able to escape Detroit with a victory in Week 4, they were not as fortunate against the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday night in a 19-13 defeat at home.

Mahomes threw for 321 yards and a touchdown -- his only scoring toss in the last two games -- but the Chiefs failed to establish the ground game and struggled with the Colts’ pass rush as Mahomes was sacked four times. The reigning NFL MVP also aggravated an ankle injury twice during the contest and had some of his mobility curtailed.

The Chiefs will likely need all hands on deck offensively, too, since Watson comes to Kansas City following the best game in his brief NFL career. The third-year pro set a career high with 426 yards and matched a career best with five touchdowns as the Texans (3-2) walloped Atlanta 53-32 last Sunday.

Houston, which is tied with Indianapolis atop the AFC South, registered its second-highest point total and yardage total in franchise history, and its 592 yards were the most in a regulation game in club history. It was also a career day for Texans receiver Will Fuller V, who totaled 14 receptions for 217 yards and three scores as he doubled his catch total and more than doubled his yardage total for the season.

An integral part of the win for the Texans was Watson -- who has thrown for 1,364 yards with only one interception -- not getting sacked for just the second time in his 28 NFL starts. Houston is 9-4 when he is taken down three or fewer times compared to 8-7 when opposing defenses record four or more sacks.
