NFL Fans Pay Tribute to Eagles’ Jason Kelce After Retirement News

In this story:
When the news of Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce’s retirement broke Tuesday morning, the NFL community wasn’t exactly shocked.
After all, the 36-year-old Kelce had contemplated retirement previously. Still, many fans collectively lamented, “Why did it have to be today?”
In the aftermath of a wild-card playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kelce reportedly told his teammates he intends to retire. Cameras caught Kelce tearing up on the sidelines at the end of Monday night’s 32—9 defeat, an unfortunate and bitter ending to his 13-season ride with the Birds.
Kelce, who will finish his career with one Super Bowl win and six first-team All-Pro nods, hardly needs an introduction.
What he got instead was an emotional farewell, as fans and observers across the country poured out love and appreciation for the future Hall of Famer and Philly legend.
#Eagles C Jason Kelce retires from the NFL with one thing that will never go away: He'll always have the greatest Super Bowl parade speech ever.

Jason Kelce is one of 57 players in pro football history to make First Team All-Pro at least six times. Of those, 51 are in the HOF. Three are active, and all likely to make it. Kelce will join them in Canton. We were lucky enough to watch one of the best players of all time.
