The 49ers' offense has steamrolled every defense in front of them this season.

Not even a strong defense like the Cowboys were able to slow down the ferocity of the 49ers' offense. However, that could change in Week 6 when the 49ers head to Cleveland to face the Browns. Their defense is sure to provide a real difficult challenge than the Cowboys did in Week 5.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is the game where the 49ers score less than 30 points. This might even be the game where Brock Purdy throws his first interception of the season. The matchup between the 49ers' offense and Browns' defense will define the game. Cleveland's defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz has had Kyle Shanahan's number throughout their careers. And the Browns have better talent all around than the Cowboys do, especially in the secondary.

Facing such a threatening defense could be intimidating, but Purdy is actually excited for the challenge versus the Browns' defense.

"It’s a really good challenge for us," said Purdy. "The front, they do a great job with I feel like just getting after the offensive line and pushing them back and getting up on the quarterback’s toes, sort of pushing the quarterback off balance with just being in rhythm for a play. So, they do a great job with that."

The only time the 49ers' offense has been really challenged this year dates back to training camp. Their own defense is the best one they have faced since no one has really pushed the 49ers offensively yet. That can come in handy when they take on the Browns' defense on Sunday.

"You can see the similarities with how [defensive line coach Kris] Kocurek coaches the guys up here," Purdy said. "The stunts and the things, just the drive, the get-off on the D-Line man, it’s crucial. And so yeah, at camp, we obviously go against that every single day, or we did go against that every day, and it was a great challenge for us. So, when we watch the film it’s like, ‘alright, yeah, we got another great challenge in front of us this week with these guys.’ So they’re, I think, one of the best in the league and a really talented group, so excited to go against them.”

Week 5 against the Cowboys was supposed to be the first test for the 49ers, and it was. They passed it with flying colors by showing they are the real dominant and elite team. Now, they must do it again when they face another test against a fierce defense in the Browns.
