The 49ers are 7-Point Favorites to Beat the Lions

In this story:
The oddsmakers remain extremely confident in the 49ers despite their shaky performance against the Packers this past Saturday.
According to BetUS, the 49ers are 7-point favorites to beat the Lions this Sunday and the over/under is set at 51, which means the oddsmakers expect the 49ers to win by a final score of 29-22. Seems fair considering the 49ers are the home team.
Still, it's unclear whether Deebo Samuel will play in the NFC Championship -- he injured his shoulder against the Packers and currently has a 50/50 chance to play against the Lions, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. And the 49ers offense hasn't performed well without Samuel this season. In the four games he either missed or didn't finish, the 49ers scored 75 points, or 18.8 per game.
In addition, the 49ers defense hasn't played up to its standard recently. The two veteran safeties, Tashaun Gipson and Logan Ryan, have struggled. Cornerback Ambry Thomas is a penalty waiting to happen. Chase Young is a liability against the run. And the pass rush was non-existent against Green Bay. The Lions had the No. 3 ranked offense in the NFL during the regular season, which means the 49ers defense will have to play its absolute best to win this game.
It seems dangerous to wager on this game without knowing the injury status of Deebo. But if I had to place a wager today, I'd take the Lions and the points, but I still expect the 49ers to win. No excuses.
