Bears Become Bettors' Darlings
It's been a wild offseason for the Bears and oddsmakers see a wild regular season coming.
According to the oddsmakers at Betonline.ag, only one NFL coach has a better chance to win NFL Coach of the Year than Bears coach Matt Eberflus.
The website's odds for coach of the year for Eberflus are 10-1.
Only Sean Payton of the Denver Broncos has a better shot at the award according to oddsmakers, at 7-1.
Dan Campbell ad Dennis Allen were right behind Eberflus at 12-1.
Within the NFC North, Matt LaFleur is 25-1 and Kevin O'Connell 28-1.
It should probably come as no surprise that Eberflus is rated so high because the odds against the Bears winning the Super Bowl this year have changed greatly since the end of free agency's first week.
The Bears are 50-1 to win the Super Bowl now. Only 17 teams have better chances to win it according to the Betonline.ag odds.
The Bears have the same odds as the Green Bay Packers, and when was the last time that could be said.
Minnesota is 48-1 and Detroit 22-1.
On the day after the Super Bowl, the Betonline.ag odds against the Bears winning the Super Bowl were quite different. They were at 125-1 and only three teams had longer odds.
Odds againt the Bears to win the NFC championship and make the Super Bowl have dropped to 20-1.
The Lions are +140 to win the division, Minnesota +275 and the Bears +350. Green Bay is at +400.
