Bears Likely to Turn to Elijah Hicks at Safety

In this story:
It would appear the Bears will rely on Elijah Hicks for his third start at safety because Eddie Jackson has been listed doubtful for Sunday's game with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jackson has a foot injury, suffered last week against Tampa Bay. Bears coach Matt Eberflus said earlier this week the news on Jackson was positive but apparently not positive enough as the seven-year veteran couldn't practice the enitre week.
Players who are doubtful almost never play in the game. It can happen if they get upgraded on Saturday prior to the game.
Hicks has six tackles on the year and filled in after Jackson was injured last week. He was the senior safety for much of the day because Jaquan Brisker left with dehydration but returned later in the game.
Edge rusher Khalid Kareem is out with a hip injury. He hasn't been in a game this season yet. He has a hip injury and was limited in Thursday's practice but unable to go on Friday.
Starting right guard Nate Davis returned to the practice field on a limited basis Friday and is listed as questionable. He was out for personal reasons last week following a death in the family on Saturday and didn't practice this week until Friday.
Everyone else who had been a medical question has been removed from the injury report. Slot cornerback Josh Blackwell practiced all week, including full practices on Thursday and Friday, after missing last week's game with a hamstring injury. He had been slated to replace starter Kyler Gordon, who is on injured reserve, but practice squad cornerback Greg Stroman Jr. had to do it last week.
Center Lucas Patrick had been out with an illness earlier this week but practiced on Thursday and Friday and also is off the injury report.
