Bears Ticket Prices Decline After Injury

In this story:
Considering quarterback Justin Fields won't play, the drop in price for Chicago Bears tickets to the season finale with the Minnesota Vikings is easily understood.
Tickets for this game at Soldier Field one week ago were going for a low price of $55 on the secondary market and as of Thursday had dropped to $42, according to SI Tickets.
The lowest entry price for tickets is the second lowest in the NFL for those sold on SI Tickets, with only lowest-priced tickets for the game between Atlanta and Tampa Bay going for less at $41.
While minimum-priced tickets normally go for lower rates, even premium seats like those in the 200 section at Soldier Field along the sidelines were going for $130 or less.
There's more at play here than the absence of Justin Fields with Nathan Peterman slated as starter.
With the season ending and the Bears on the verge of setting a record for most defeats in franchise history, the price is understandable. There isn't even a great deal for the Vikings to play for beyond second or third seed. And a good argument could be made for Minnesota being better off getting third seed because it wouldn't need to face Green Bay, provided the Packers beat Detroit Sunday. Even if the Vikings win, Arizona would need to beat San Francisco for the win over the Bears to mean anything to Minnesota.
With the Bears season ending, it's an ideal time to point out that SI Tickets sells for other sporting events and non-sporting events, without a ticket fee at purchase.
