Bengals Select Darnell Washington, Julius Brents, Ji'Ayir Brown In PFF Mock Draft

In this story:
CINCINNATI — PFF's Trevor Sikkema released his latest 2023 NFL mock draft and has the Bengals selecting Georgia tight end Darnell Washington in the first round.
"The Bengals could be looking for some offensive line help at the back end of Round 1, but they’ll also need to address the tight end position with Hayden Hurst now out of Cincinnati," Sikkema wrote. "They can touch on both needs with the selection of Darnell Washington, a massive 6-foot-7, 270-pound tight end who is a rare athlete for his size and almost like a sixth offensive lineman on the end of the line of scrimmage."
The team also took Kansas State cornerback Julius Brents (45 tackles, 4 interceptions, 4 pass breakups in 2022) at Pick 60 and Penn State safety Ji'Ayir Brown (74 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 4 interceptions, 4 PBUs) in the third round of the mock.
Washington would be a dynamic, athletic weapon to use all over the offense. The Bulldog is currently the third-ranked tight end on the consensus big board and is projected to get picked at No. 33.
Brents is the 65th-ranked player overall and the 10th-ranked cornerback. He's projected to go off the board to New Orleans at Pick 40.
Brown is the 92nd-ranked player overall and the eighth-ranked safety. He's projected to go 64th to the Bears.
