DJ Reader on Elgton Jenkins Starting Fight at Joint Practice: 'He Just Didn't Want to Practice'

CINCINNATI — Packers offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins was kicked out of Wednesday's joint practice with the Bengals after he smacked DJ Reader in the helmet.

Jenkins got into two scuffles at practice. First, he fought with linebacker Germaine Pratt. That led to a brawl that was eventually broken up by players and coaches.

"Guys in they feelings. Who knows? I have no idea. He might've had a bad day today," Reader said. "Seemed positive early in practice and then it turned real negative for him and then he got kicked out. He just didn't want to practice. He'll be out there Friday. We'll see him."

Jenkins was walked out by a Packers staffer. The Bengals' defense got the better of the Packers for most of the session.

Trey Hendrickson, Myles Murphy, Joseph Ossai and Reader all made big plays in the trenches.
