Trent Williams Not Expected to Play in 49ers' Matchup With Bengals

San Francisco hosts Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon.

SANTA CLARA — The 49ers' offense is going to be shorthanded on Sunday against the Bengals. 

Star left tackle Trent Williams isn't expected to play according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic. 

Williams is dealing with an ankle injury and was listed as questionable for Sunday's game. 

The 49ers will also be without star wide receiver Deebo Samuel. Quarterback Brock Purdy will play, despite being in concussion protocol this week. He was officially cleared on Saturday. 

The Bengals are hoping to win their third-straight game. Meanwhile, the 49ers are hoping to snap a two game losing streak. Kickoff is at 4:25 ET.
