Bills' Leonard Floyd Reveals Unique 'Trust': 'Everybody Can Eat!'

"They know football," Buffalo Bills linebacker Leonard Floyd said of his new teammates.

Buffalo Bills pass-rusher Leonard Floyd has played with the likes of Aaron Donald, Khalil Mack and Von Miller (both with the Los Angeles Rams and now in Buffalo).

But when speaking to the media on Monday, he said that the "trust" he's experienced with his new teammates so far this offseason has been unlike anything he's had ahead of his eighth season in the league.

"This is the best group I've been around as far as I can trust the guys when they're in the game. They know football," Floyd said. "I've been on teams where you couldn't really trust the guy behind me, and I had to play like the whole game.

"Being around these guys, I know with the rotation (that) everybody can eat. Everybody gonna eat."

While it's obvious that Floyd was not referring to his former superstar teammates in Mack and Donald, it's significant that he's already feeling more trust with the depth in Buffalo than he did during his time with the Rams despite winning a Super Bowl with them in 2021.

Floyd signed a one-year deal, $7 million deal with Buffalo earlier this offseason. That money could jump up to $9 million with sack incentives, per NFL Network.

Despite his final year with the Rams being one full of disappointment, he shined with nine sacks, one fumble recovery and 59 total tackles in 17 games.

But if the depth and trust he feels from the Bills is as good as he says, Floyd may not have to post a nine-sack season for the Buffalo defense to find success.

The Bills begin preseason play on Saturday at Highmark Stadium against the Indianapolis Colts.
