Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow Praises Buffalo Bills Coach Joe Brady: 'He Helped Me A Lot'

Buffalo Bills fans will love the support that Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is giving to new offensive coordinator Joe Brady.

The Buffalo Bills made a big change on Tuesday, firing offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and replacing him with quarterbacks coach Joe Brady.

Fans have been calling for Dorsey's firing for weeks, if not longer, and they finally got their wish. Monday night's game against the Denver Broncos proved to be the breaking point, as the Bills had four turnovers in an embarrassing 24-22 loss at home.

Brady earned the promotion, and one NFL superstar is a big fan of the move. On Tuesday, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow voiced his support for Brady after news of the move broke.

"Joe's awesome, Joe's very creative," Burrow told reporters. "He always has something for a certain look that you're seeing on tape to take advantage of that. It's a big opportunity for him, I'm excited for him. He helped me a lot. He helped me become the player I am today. Nothing but love for Joe."

Burrow and Brady haven't worked together at the NFL, but they did help engineer one of the greatest offenses in college football history. Brady was the passing game coordinator for the LSU Tigers in 2019, a year when he won the Broyles Award as the nation's top assistant while Burrow won the Heisman Trophy after throwing for 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns, an FBS record. That LSU team, which averaged 48.4 points per game en route to winning national championship also featured current Bengals receiver Ja'Marr Chase and Minnesota Vikings superstar Justin Jefferson.

Brady, 34, does have some NFL experience as well. His first NFL gig came as an offensive assistant with the New Orleans Saints in 2017 and 2018, but his most notable role came as the Carolina Panthers' offensive coordinator in 2020 and 2021. The Panthers were far from the most prolific offensive team under Brady's watch, but given the franchise's struggles over the last half decade, it's hard to pin their problems on him.

If Brady can work his magic on Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen like he did with Burrow in college, then maybe the Bills can turn this suddenly bleak season around.
