Buffalo Bills Schedule Among Toughest Remaining as Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys Loom

The Buffalo Bills are currently outside of the AFC playoff picture.

If the Buffalo Bills are going to make a run into the playoffs, they'll have to do it against one of the toughest schedules in the NFL.

Sharp Football Analysis ranked the remaining schedules and had the Bills with the third hardest in the NFL. Buffalo (6-6) only trails the Baltimore Ravens (9-3) and Cincinnati Bengals (5-6).

The Bills face two of the best teams in the NFL out of their bye week when they head to Arrowhead Stadium to face the Kansas City Chiefs (8-3) on Dec. 10 at 4:25 p.m. ET, then the Dallas Cowboys (8-3) at Highmark Stadium on Dec. 17.

Even games against the Los Angeles Chargers (4-7) on Dec. 23 and the New England Patriots (2-9) on Dec. 31 are far from toss-ups. The Patriots beat the Bills 29-25 on Oct. 22 at Gillette Stadium. Buffalo closes the regular season out on Jan. 7 against the Miami Dolphins (8-3) on the road.

Josh Allen had 420 total yards and four touchdowns in the Bills' 37-34 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

If the Bills are going to make a run to get into the playoffs, it won't just be about them getting hot at the right time. They'll need some help from teams who have much easier schedules.

Buffalo is the 10th seed in the AFC and trails the Houston Texans (6-6), Denver Broncos (6-5) and Indianapolis Colts (6-5) for the seventh seed. The Colts currently hold the last seed in the AFC.

Houston has the easiest remaining schedule in the AFC by Sharp Football Analysis, while the Colts have the second-easiest. Denver, who holds a head-to-head advantage over the Bills with a 24-22 on Nov. 13, has the ninth-easiest schedule left.

Buffalo has an uphill climb if it wants to make its fifth straight playoff appearance. With no margin for error and three teams ahead of them for the seventh seed, the Bills need to play their best for their final five games of the season.
