The Buffalo Bills are slowing chipping away at locking in each of their rookie draft picks from last month. The team made six selections this year and have now signed half of them as of Thursday.

Per an announcement from the team, the Bills have officially signed five draft picks to rookie deals, all of which are four-year contracts. Here are the players:

- OG O'Cyrus Torrence (R2, Pick No. 59)

- LB Dorian Williams (R3, Pick No. 91)

- WR Justin Shorter (R5, Pick No. 150)

- OG Nick Broeker (R7, Pick No. 230)

- CB Alex Austin (R7, Pick No. 252)

The Bills have now signed all of their draft picks except for first-round tight end Dalton Kincaid, though there's no reason to think this won't get done sometime soon.

As for Torrence, he becomes one of the first second-round picks to sign. In his college career, Torrence didn't allow a single sack. Last year at Florida, he didn't commit a single penalty. We're gonna have to check with our sources, but we're pretty sure that's impressive.

Williams, who starred at Tulane, finished with the 2021 season with a 2-12 record before helping the Green Wave do a complete 180 in 2022, going 12-2 and winning the Cotton Bowl over the talented USC Trojans. He was a major reason why, as he did a little bit of everything. Along with posting a career-high 17 tackles in that 46-45 win over USC, he led Tulane in tackles (131), sacks (five), was second in passes defended (seven), had two interceptions and forced two fumbles.

Shorter, a teammate of Torrence's at Florida, played in nine games in 2022. He finished with a career-high 577 receiving yards. As scouts watched Anthony Richardson, their attention also shifted toward one of his top receivers.

These three project as rookie successes for the Bills based on the role that general manager Brandon Beane has described for each of them. He and the front office have now shown proof of their faith for the 2023 draft class by inking these rooks to their first NFL contract.
