Tyreek Hill Reacts to Bills Signing Speedy Dolphins WR Trent Sherfield: 'OMG!'

"I think I took the biggest step last season, honestly," new Buffalo Bills receiver Trent Sherfield said Monday. "Really just get an opportunity, I think that's something that I've been kind of searching for my whole career."

The Buffalo Bills officially snatched some talent from within their division on Monday, as the team signed former Miami Dolphins receiver Trent Sherfield in free agency. And his fellow Miami speedster Tyreek Hill is displeased.

"OMG!'' tweeted Tyreek, obviously hopeful that Sherfield might stay in Miami as opposed to joining the AFC East rival Bills.

Sherfield, who went undrafted out of Vanderbilt in 2018 and gets a one-year deal here, has jumped from team to team but experienced a breakout campaign with the Dolphins this past year in his only season with the team.

On a pass-happy offense, Sherfield appeared in all 17 games and totaled a career-high in catches (30), targets (51), receiving yards (417) and receiving touchdowns (two).

"I think I took the biggest step last season, honestly," Sherfield said Monday. "Really just get an opportunity, I think that's something that I've been kind of searching for my whole career."

Sherfield began his NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals, where he thrived in a special teams role for three seasons. His rookie year still remains one of his best seasons, as Sherfield finished with 19 catches for 210 yards and one touchdown.

The Bills have now brought on two speedy receivers in the early part of this offseason, as the team also signed former New Orleans Saints pass-catcher and returner Deonte Harty on Wednesday.

Both guys will get a chance to step up to the plate in Buffalo next season, especially with the recent release of receiver Isaiah McKenzie.
