The Bills host the Jets in a matchup that carried a lot more weight at the beginning of the season. Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers was lost for the season four plays into Week 1, and Bills signal caller Josh Allen has struggled lately.

New York has understandably labored without Rodgers, and the Bills offense has been so stagnant and turnover-prone that offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey was fired on Tuesday.

It's been 10 weeks since the Jets beat the Bills in Week 1 without the services of Rodgers at the MetLife Stadium, and both teams share similar frustrations on the season.

“We need to stop with the self-inflicted wounds,” Jets quarterback Zach Wilson said. “Obviously, we’ve said that a million times. We just need to be better.”

Allen basically told reporters the same thing on Wednesday. “It’s not like it’s broken. We’re not a broken offense. We’re not a broken team.”

Buffalo has dropped four of its last six games, and in that span, Allen is responsible for seven of his 11 picks, and two lost fumbles.

The Jets have their own offensive issues and have scored just eight touchdowns on the season. New York has gone 36 possessions without a touchdown going back 11 quarters and an overtime period.

Both teams have also hosted players-only meetings.

“We definitely needed it,” Jets left tackle Mekhi Becton said. “It was everybody just looking in the mirror and taking accountability instead of finger-pointing. Now we’ve got to figure out what we need to do to keep this thing going.”

Buffalo hopes a change at offensive coordinator will spark the team and initiate some wins.

“As much as you can sit here and feel sorry for yourself and sulk on what’s going on, we’ve got a game to prepare for,” Allen said.
