Broncos Sign 12 Players to Futures Contracts

QB Ben DiNucci is the most notable of the bunch.

As is customary at the conclusion of the regular season, the Denver Broncos on Monday signed a batch of players — those who ended the year on the team's practice squad — to reserve/futures deals.

The 12 signees now under contract for 2024 include quarterback Ben DiNucci, running back Tyler Badie, wide receivers Phillip Dorsett and David Sills, offensive linemen Will Sherman and Demontrey Jacobs, defensive tackle Jordan Jackson, inside linebacker Durell Nchami, outside linebacker Ronnie Perkins, cornerback Reese Taylor, and defensive backs Keidron Smith and Devon Key.

DiNucci is the most notable name of the bunch. The former Dallas Cowboys draft pick and XFL standout originally joined Denver last May and spent the majority of the 2023 campaign on the taxi squad, although he did serve as the third-string emergency QB in Weeks 13, 15, and 16.

DiNucci, 27, will continue to develop behind presumed starter Jarrett Stidham with Russell Wilson expected to be released in March. The club is also likely to bring in another veteran or a rookie signal-caller to pair with the two.

"I'm excited," he said of returning to the Mile High City.

Each of the 12 futures signings will officially count against the Broncos' 90-man offseason roster limit beginning in February.
